So I've shared photos from my trip to Belize. Did I mention one part included a ride in a glass-bottom boat, and the chance to swim surrounded by sharks? As we go off to work this Monday, I thought about this. Why? Well, I've worked in some jobs where every day I felt like I was climbing into a shark tank. Y'all know what I mean. I learned some survival techniques, including just getting out and moving to a new tank with friendly fish! Of course being a writer, I made more than a few folks murder victims or jerk characters in my books as a way to take a little revenge! A little humor to take the sting off "The Low-Down Dirty Day Job Blues"!
By the way, I didn't get in the water with the sharks. Instead, I happily cheered on the group of other tourists who did. They found it exhilarating. Meanwhile I took these lovely photos of coral and reefs while sitting comfortably in the glass-bottom boat.
Don't let the Monday blues get you down. I say learn how to swim with sharks, make lemonade, and bloom where you're planted. Set goals, follow your dreams, and don't listen to negativity. Meanwhile...
P.S. I'll be sharing the cover of my next Joliet Sisters Psychic Detectives novel soon, so stay tuned.
