I love writing novels. Kicks my butt because it's hard work, but I keep doing it. So much of what we do is in the "What I have to in order to get what I need", you know like get up every morning and go to a job. As I got older, I got smarter about making time to do things I enjoy, that revive me even during the hours of doing what must be done. Writing has been that for me lo these many years. I could smile at work knowing I had this other life waiting. Life is for mixing it up with "have to" with "want to and love!" Watching hummingbirds, talking to other authors, traveling, etc. I work on not making excuses, getting out of my comfort zone or just my routine to try new things.
I watched hummingbirds most of the summer.
A new past time made easier since I put the feeder outside my office window
Continued my re-decorating. The two tables in my foyer look so cute.
Makes me smile each time I come home
Do what makes you happy. Get out of your own way. Don't let others make you feel unworthy, silly for wanting to pursue a goal or dream, or incompetent to do what you've set out to do.
