For the first time I "celebrated" Cinco De Mayo. The right way.

Met friends for dinner in at a local Mexican restaurant. way. No stereotyping hats or decorations. One friend created party favors for us with the real explanation of Cinco De Mayo. We had a discussion about the Trump admin's immigration ban/policies, and how we are in solidarity with immigrants. Btw, the Mexican restaurant was crazy packed (people outside, in the parking lot, a two-hour wait for tables), so we ended up walking down the street to a Greek/Lebanese place. LOL Yes, some had margaritas and Mexican beer. Not that the night was entirely serious and political. We had great fun, laughed a lot about.

This is the respectful way to celebrate another culture's holiday and/or observances. You can have fun and be woke!
