One of my 2017 goals was to do cover face-lifts on several books. I know many of them need a fresher, better look. But 22 books y'all. That's a lot of $$$ for the "Starving Artiste." I'm working on the 5th book of my LaShaun Rousselle paranormal mystery series. Though I sent the previous covers to Rebecca just to give her a feel for the mood I wanted, she thought I mean all over the previous titles AND the new book. Instead of correcting her, I said to myself, "Hmm, that's not a bad idea." So here is a rough (very rough) draft of what the cover will be. Rebecca will change the lighting, refine the alignment, etc. But this gives you an idea of how authors work with cover artists. We went through stock art for the right model pose, background, and more. I like this!
